Edwards has offer

Always looking to have a solid rotation of defensive lineman, the LSU Tigers have now become the second school in the Southeastern Conference to offer Lavar Edwards.

The 6-4, 270-pound strongside defensive end out of Desire Street Academy is Baton Rouge is a three-star prospect according to the latest Rivals.com rankings. Already with offers from Alabama, Tulane and Louisiana Tech, Edwards is also rated as the 47th-best defensive end in the country and the 25th-best overall player in the State of Louisiana according to Rivals.com

"I would say things have really started to pick up for me in terms of schools recruiting me," Edwards said. "I went on an unofficial visit to Alabama two weekends ago and I went to another one at LSU this past Saturday.
