JC linebacker Heun could catch fire

Over four months ago, Brad Hoiseth of JCGridiron.com did an interview with what could end up being one of the top junior college linebackers for this recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Jake Heun played his high school football in a state that gets little Division I attention and that has led him to one of the premier JC programs in the nation. If you look at his stats from high school, it is difficult to understand why at least one university did not offer him.

Heun played fullback and linebacker at Palmer High School in Alaska in 2005, and he will be playing both of those spots this season at City College of San Francisco in California.

On the recruiting front, he has been getting frequent mail from Arizona State, Iowa State, Kansas State, and Nebraska, but some new schools have recently jumped on board.
