Hernando DE No. 12 in countdown

It appears that there is an SEC battle brewing for the RebelSports.Net No. 12 selection in the state's Top 25 countdown.

Hernando's Andre Wadley, a defensive end that is listed at 6-foot-2, 245-pounds currently has three offers.

"Right now it is Auburn, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss (that have offered)," he said. "I am hearing from Memphis a little bit, Tennessee. I mean I get a bunch of letters from them guys and Alabama. That's about it for right now."

Many State Bulldog fans probably felt their team had the edge in getting the talented three star Rivals.com prospect, due to Andre's brother Johnny being a Bulldog, but Andre made it clear that might not be the case.

"My brother told me just to make my decision open," he explained. "I am just going to make my decision, because everybody thinks that just because he went to State, I'll go to State, but I am going to do my own thing.

Wadley also has a former teammate and friend that just recently signed at Ole Miss. Bradley Sowell help lead his Tiger team last fall with Wadley.

Wadley is being recruited strictly as a defensive end, and should have no problems qualifying academically.

"My grades are good," he said. "I have a 3.0. I just have to get my ACT score a little higher, but that's not a problem with so many times left to take it. I should have it the next time I take it."
