Life's good for Gabbert

Fresh off of his MVP performance at the Elite 11 camp, and soon to likely be awarded a fifth star by Rivals.com, Husker quarterback commit Blaine Gabbert continues to do his part to ensure that Nebraska's recruiting class of 2008 will be among the very best in the country come National Letter of Intent signing day.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Ballwin (Mo.) Parkway West product has been instrumental to NU's recent stream of early commits and he's not resting on his laurels. In addition to Jonas Gray and Kenny Demens, Gabbert has had some other prime targets on his recent call list.

Gabbert was asked why after committing to Nebraska he's chosen to take on the leadership mantle in helping the NU staff corral other top prospects.
