Practice report: Final week of fall camp
The Missouri Tigers entered the final open week of practices with a two-hour-plus workout on Faurot Field Tuesday night. PowerMizzou.com has all the news:
First, the injury update:
Marcus Woods was without a walking cast, but still held out of all drills.
Hardy Ricks did participate in limited drills with a brace on his dislocated left shoulder. He was able to reach both arms above his head to catch the ball, which I take as a good sign. I don't see any way Ricks is ready to start and go all out by Illinois, but it is possible he could see some playing time.
Darnell Terrell was full speed for the first time all fall, which is probably the best thing to come out of this workout.
Michael Keck was limited with a shoulder injury suffered in the scrimmage. As I said on Saturday, I have to think that really makes it difficult for Keck to see the field.
The field was a lot more crowded today. About 25 new walk-ons joined the team when classes started yesterday. Many of them are familiar faces from spring football, while there are a handful of guys that are complete unknowns to us right now.
Kendall Irving was back with the team at practice, so whatever issues were there have apparently been worked out.
I will have a Q&A with Missouri defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus on the site first thing Wednesday morning.
Missouri returns to the practice field at 3:30 on Wednesday
