Temple enjoys strong season opener
Rockhurst RB Drew Temple hoped to start the season strong after missing most of his junior year due to injury. After a 21-7 victory for Rockhurst, Temple said he felt good about the beginning of his senior season.
His first game of the year behind him, Temple said that he is looking forward to playing a familiar foe this weekend. He added that he hopes his first game was only the beginning.
Temple committed to the Missouri Tigers nearly a month ago and said that having his college decision made has helped him on the field this fall. He added that deciding removes a lot of extra stress that comes with recruiting.
While things started well for him, things didn't go so well for Temple's older brother, Tony Temple. The younger Temple said that he wasn't worried after one game because you never knew what would happen.
Temple said he has been keeping in close touch with the Missouri coaches since committing. He added that now, the conversations have been a little more in depth than before a decision was reached.
Although he plans on being at most games, Temple said he wasn't sure when he may take his official visit with the Tigers. He joked, however, that he wasn't too worried about the visit because of what he had already seen.
Temple said he was excited for the season for both Rockhurst and for the Tigers. He said after makig his choice it wasn't a question of if, but rather, a question of when, he would sign with Missouri.
