Marrongelli planning October ISU visit

Iowa State made Round Rock (Texas) Westwood offensive lineman Trevor Marrongelli's top five early in the process after the Cyclones offered him a scholarship back in June. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound prospect is now looking at setting official visits and Iowa State is one of the schools he's targeting a trip to.

"I haven't had a chance to get my Clearinghouse stuff done, but I think I am setting one up for Iowa State and then probably Purdue," said Marrongelli. "I'm not sure about [other] official visits, but I am going to Baylor this weekend."

Purdue has not offered Marrongelli a scholarship yet, but he still plans to head up there sometime this fall and look around. When he heads up to Iowa State, Marrongelli is planning to bring along his father along with a friend. He expects that visit to take place next month.

"I spoke with [Iowa State] yesterday and I think the visit was going to be sometime later in the season, when they play Oklahoma (Oct. 20)," Marrongelli said. "I talk with all the coaches around there. They were just asking how my summer was and how our game went."
