Safety Jackson is locking in visits

Mansfield (Tex.) defensive back Kenji Jackson has scheduled his first official visit and is working on getting at least one more set up. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound safety is a three-star prospect and considered top 40 at his position in the nation, as well as being ranked the no. 86 player in Texas.

Jackson said that two Big 12 North schools are first as he fills out his travel docket for the recruiting season. "I am going to visit Kansas October 13 (weekend of Oct. 12-14) and I am also going to visit Iowa State, just not sure when on that one," Jackson said. "Those are the two schools I've been working with the most to get something set. I want to get some visits in so I can make a decision. There might be more."

Jackson said that he has basically narrowed things down to a top five. In addition to Iowa State and Kansas, Jackson said he is looking at Nebraska a lot as well as still considering Missouri and Iowa a fair amount. In late August, Jackson said all of those schools had a good shot to get a visit from him, although someone will be left out when he hits his limit of five, if he hits it. And still hanging on with Jackson, but outside of his top five for the time being, are Wisconsin, Arizona and SMU.
