Huskers get a key commit

It was looking like the Nebraska Cornhuskers were going to get shutout in the commitment department from last week's battle against the USC Trojans, but the results of that game did not prevent one of the uncommitted to now make it official for the Huskers. This evening, this athlete called the Nebraska coaches with the good news.

Reed, the 6-foot-3, 204-pound athlete out of Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas, said that originally he was being recruited as a linebacker, but in the past few weeks it has shifted to possibly playing either wide receiver or tight end.
