Hawkinson, the No. 4 ranked player in Kansas, spoke to Jayhawk Slant about his season to date and, more importantly, his thoughts on Saturdays highly anticipated match up between KU and KSU.

During his junior campaign at McPherson (KS) High School, Hawkinson, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound tight end was credited with 24 receptions for 363 yards and nine touchdowns.
