Commitment 360: DE commits to ISU

For over a month, since he took his official visit to Iowa State on the first weekend that he could do so, Mesquite (Tex.) defensive end D.J. Marshall has had a good feeling about the Cyclone football program. And the feeling continued to grow to the point that he made a verbal commitment to ISU on Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Marshall is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and ranked as the no. 89 prospect overall in the state of Texas. Marshall, who played at Lancaster (Tex.) through his junior year before transferring to Mesquite, visited Iowa State back on September 7th through 9th and never shook the feeling that he could join something special if he were to sign with ISU come February.
