Gameday Notebook: KU cruises past FSU

It was business and usual for Bill Self and Kansas against Ft. Hayes State on Tuesday night. The Jayhawks scored the first nine-points of the game and never looked back. In all, four players scored in double figures for KU, who out rebounded FSU, 47-31. The Jayhawks will now focus on Friday's regular season opener against Louisiana-Monroe.

Four players score in double figures for Kansas:

Self saw several players step-up and have a big game against Fort Hays State on Tuesday night. No player was more impressive than sophomore Darrell Arthur. The forward from Dallas, Texas, scored 20-points and pulled down eight rebounds, five coming on the offensive end.

While Arthur's stat line was certainly impressive, he wasn't the only player that provided an impact. Sherron Collins (12), Mario Chalmers (14) and Darnell Jackson (10) all scored in double-figures.

In all, 12 players scored for Self's squad.

Kansas does a better job on the boards:

After getting out rebounded by Pittsburg State last week, the Jayhawks did an outstanding job controlling the boards against Fort Hays State. KU out rebounded FHS, 47-31 on Tuesday night.

Arthur, Jackson and senior Sasha Kaun grabbed eight rebounds each. Additionally, 11 different players grabbed at least one rebound.
