Over the past few weeks, Smith has tried to keep a solid balance between his on-field performance and recruiting. Smith added that he had enjoyed continuing to meet new people and establish solid relationships with the coaches.

One of the big things that Smith has been trying to get in touch with the coaches from all of the schools about has been his official visit to their campus. He said that he wanted to make sure that he got one visit set up before taking any other visits.

Smith has enjoyed getting a chance to watch the Tigers play over the past few weeks and added that he continued to be impressed by the play coming from the defense.

Smith said that with the regular season ending this weekend, he hoped to get the chance to get everything squared away with the Tiger coaching staff. He said that if he could get everything worked out, his decision could follow soon after.

Before making his decision, Smith said that after his game this weekend, he was hoping to head to San Antonio for the game. He hoped that he would be able to make the trip to watch his number one team.
