All eyes on Smith

Safety P.J. Smith will be focused on helping River Ridge (La.) John Curtis advance to the state championship on Friday, but the eyes of college coaches are focused squarely on him. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound defensive back can't avoid the recruiting process, as much as he'd like to.

"I'm still focused on winning these last two games," Smith said. "I think we're going to come out and play as a team and get it done. After that I'll worry more about recruiting but for now that's my focus."

Coach Porter from LSU has been responsible for recruiting Smith, but he's hearing from several other schools as well.

"I've been hearing from Coach Porter once a week, and just about everyone else that's been talking to me for a while has been too," Smith said.
