Davis excited about his official visit
Plano (TX) Christian Academy OL Taylor Davis made an early commitment to Missouri. He felt good about the choice, but after visiting Missouri on his official visit this weekend, Davis said there was no doubt in his mind he made the right choice.
Davis said on of the things he hoped to accomplish most this past weekend was starting a bond with his future teammates at Missouri. He said that he was easily able to start forming friendships with the other Tiger commits, and even with a few guys who weren't committed to the Tigers.
Along with meeting his fellow teammates in the class of 2008, Davis talked with several of the other Tiger offensive linemen, including his host, Mike Prince. He said he enjoyed learning about Missouri's offensive system from guys already in the trenches.
Davis said that he wanted to get the chance to know the Missouri coaches a little better on his visit. He said that one of the biggest qualities in the Missouri staff showed itself over the past weekend.
Davis said that last week, he spent quite a bit of time around the Missouri coaches. Not only was he in Columbia for his official visit, but he welcomed coach Bruce Walker to Plano earlier in the week.
With the Tigers upcoming game in Dallas, Davis had another reason to get excited. He said that with the game being so close to home, he didn't see any reason for him to not be in the stands.
Davis said he was glad to be in Columbia this past weekend and be part of the team on one of the biggest weekends that the Tigers had in a long time. He and his host enjoyed watching the Heisman presentation along with the rest of the Tigers.
