New Jersey prospect will visit Iowa

New Jersey prospect J.D. Griggs will make an official visit to the University of Iowa this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Griggs, who is verbally committed to Temple, setup the trip during a visit from Iowa assistant coach Darrell Wilson.

Griggs' recruiting has already taken a couple of twists and turns as he initially committed to Syracuse back in July before switching to Temple last month. The Piscataway, New Jersey native also holds scholarship offers from Kansas State and Maryland as well.

While Temple projects Griggs at defensive end, the Hawkeyes like his potential at tight end where he had 214 yards receiving and six touchdowns this season.
