Scott makes his choice

Baton Rouge (LA)Southern Lab safety Chris Scott emerged onto the scene late in the recruiting season for several schools after committing to Baylor. One of the schools that came on strong was TCU who he visited last weekend.

Scott told Purplemenace.com just a few days ago that he was scheduled to meet with Coach Patterson in-home on Wednesday and if all went well he would likely commit.

So how did the visit go?

"You can consider me a Horned Frog," he said. "Coach Patterson, Coach Glascow, and Coach Anderson were all there."

Scott says playing for a coach who's known for defense among other factors was a big plus.

"The school has great academics," Scott said. "They also have a dominating defense. I like the fact I have a chance to go in and play defense for a head coach who is really defensive minded. It's a good place for me to go for the next four years of my life."

So is Scott solid with his decision with a scheduled visit to Tulsa?

"I'm 100-percent solid," he said. "They (Tulsa) tried to re-schedule my visit to February 1st but I did not want to wait that long. I was ready to get it over with and I'm ready for next year."
