Bigach picking up interest

After earning first team all-state honors in Ohio's Division I this past season, St. Ignatius prospect Steve Bigach has seen his stock steadily rise. Currently, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Bigach is hearing from Yale, Air Force, Iowa, and Michigan State.

Last week, the Ohio native made a visit to Yale and this past weekend took a trip to Air Force. Up next is a trip to Iowa City to visit the Hawkeyes, who at this point have a grayshirt offer on the table.

As a senior, Bigach had 119 tackles and nine sacks playing linebacker for St. Ignatius. With a big frame and good speed, the high school senior could potentially play linebacker or defensive end in college.

With a grayshirt offer from Iowa, an offer from Air Force, and an opportunity at an Ivy League education at Yale, Bigach has several different options to look over. Also, Michigan State stopped by to visit him late last week and could enter the picture now as well. With such a flurry of interest late in the recruiting process, Bigach wants to take his time and make sure he makes the right decision.
