Is Kansas peaking at the right time?

During a press conference back on February 15, Bill Self told a room of reports that his goal each year is for his team to start getting better in February. At that time, Self made it clear that he would like to see this Kansas team being to peak in late February or early March. Since losing to Oklahoma State back on February 23, the Jayhawks have won seven straight games, including a dramatic 10 point victory over Texas in the finals of the Big 12 Tournament Championship on Sunday. So, is Kansas peaking at the right time?

Since losing to Oklahoma State back on February 23, the Jayhawks have won seven straight games by an average of 18 points per contest. Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Kansas, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, is as balanced as any team in college basketball.
