2010 Texas safety receives first offer

Waco Midway is fast becoming a popular recruiting ground for college coaches. Two seniors are already committed to Division I programs and several others are receiving interest, but the talent pipeline does not end with the class of 2009.

Junior safety Ahmad Dixon will likely be the most highly-recruited Panther in quite some time. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound defender has already picked up one offer and several other schools are showing strong interest.

"I have been hearing from quite a few schools," said Dixon. "Actually, Texas Tech has sent me a written offer. I've been getting stuff from Kansas State, from Florida, from Oregon, Nebraska, Stanford, Texas A&M and a few others. I've been getting handwritten letters from all of those."
