AU makes big move for No. 7 safety

Four-star safety Ahmad Dixon of Midway High in Waco, Texas wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

The nation's No. 7 safety prospect, according to Rivals.com, wanted to see what his friends and fellow top recruits, five-star running back Lache Seastrunk and four-star receiver Trovon Reed, were talking about.

Seastrunk, Rivals' No. 1 running back and No. 2 overall recruit in the country, and Reed, the No. 2 receiver, visited Auburn in June for Big Cat Weekend.

Both left with rave reviews for the Tigers. Both left with Auburn at or near the top of their list of favorites. Both wanted Dixon to see it for himself.

This weekend, he did.

Dixon arrived on the Plains Friday and left Sunday. He met with the Auburn coaches, toured the Auburn campus and facilities, and participated in Saturday's mini-camp.

He quickly understood what Seastrunk and Reed were talking about.
