Providence Ugent Care's Following the Future

Maty Mauk - QB 6'1", 190 - Kenton, OH.

This Week: For the first time this season, Mauk was shut down in the passing attack, completing 13 of 20 passes for 97 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against Bishop Hartley. However, he ran for 164 yards and three touchdowns and Kenton narrowly won, 30-28.

Michael Scherer - LB 6'4", 224 - St. Louis, Mo.

This Week: Scherer ran for 47 yards and two touchdowns, threw a 14-yard touchdown and intercepted a pass as MICDS rolled Farmington, 48-14, to advance to the state finals.
Season total: 1,056 yards, 23 TDs, 1 2-PT rushing; 13 receptions, 186 yards, 4 TDs receiving, 3-4, 54 yards passing, 1 TD; 56 tackles, 8 TFL, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 3 INT.

Morgan Steward - RB 5'11", 185 - Kansas City, Mo.

This Week: In one of the greatest games in Missouri playoff history, Steward ran for 287 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries as Staley beat Lee's Summit West 76-70 in quadruple overtime to advance to the state championship.
Season total: 204 carries, 2,013 yards, 26 TDs; 21 catches, 312 yards, 2 TD; 277 return yards

Donavin Newsom - LB 6'2", 220 - St. Louis, MO
