Survive Inside

Baylor starts an NBA-like front line. Miller and Jones both have range out to the three-point line. They are a matchup problem not just for Missouri, but for anyone. Of course, that means on the other end, those players have to come on the perimeter to guard the likes of English and Matt Pressey. So Mizzou could create some mismatches of its own.
Premium Point Guards

Phil Pressey starts for Missouri and runs the show. Pierre Jackson doesn't start, but is Baylor's most important player. They are the top two assist men in the Big 12. Pressey isn't a shoot-first guy, but can make the outside shot in streaks at times. Jackson is the second-leading three-point shooter in the Big 12. The point man that plays better may come out with a win.
Get Going Early

A fast start is huge for Missouri because few think the Tigers can win. If they get jumped on at the tip, memories of Kansas State could come back. But it's also big against a Baylor team coming off a loss for the first time this season. The Bears were beaten badly at Kansas. How will they react? And if they're down early on, can they regroup?

Ricardo Ratliffe on his improvement in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

"It's hard for me to trust people, but I honestly can say I trust him and I haven't even known him for a year. He's a good guy, and I can honestly say I believe everything that comes out of his mouth."
Scott Drew after his team's loss at Kansas

"Early on they were good, right now they're even better and I think the nation saw how tough they are. But that's what's great about this league. Night in and night out, you're going to face good teams, and if you don't play well and they play well, you've got no chance."

Baylor 82-71
