All-Stars: UA commitments and targets

Several of the Tide's in-state commitments are well represented on a yearly basis in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game. Alabama freshman T.J. Yeldon was named the MVP in the 2011 game last December.

Several of Tide's current players have participated in the annual event including AJ McCarron, T.J. Yeldon, C.J. Mosley, Dee Milliner, Nick Perry and Brent Calloway just to name a few.

Alabama has three commitments in the 2012 game led by Rivals100 member Grant Hill, four-star offensive guard from Hunsville High School. Also on the roster includes ArDarius Stewart, four-star athlete from Fultondale High School in Birmingham, and Darius Paige, three-star defensive tackle from Foley High School.

A few notable commitments absent from the list who projected to participate include Bradley Bozeman, four-star offensive tackle from Handley High School in Roanoke, who suffered a torn ACL two weeks ago. He will miss the remainder of the season. Deon Johnson, three-star wide receiver from Spanish Fort High School, was arrested a couple of weeks ago on rape charges. O.J. Howard, the nation's No. 1 tight end from Autauga Academy in Prattville, plays in the Alabama Independent School Association. He is not allowed to play in this game, but he will play in the Under Armour All-America game in Orlando.

Several SEC commitments highlight this year's team with the nation's No. 2 overall prospect in Reuben Foster, five-star linebacker and Auburn commitment from Auburn High School, and Dee Liner, five-star defensive end and Auburn commitment from Muscle Shoals High School.

Jeremy Johnson, who is the Mr. Football front-runner through the mid-way point of the season, is the top quarterback on the team. The Carver High School in Montgomery standout is also an Auburn commitment.

Alabama remains in the mix with several players on the roster.

Dee Liner who plans to take an official visit to Alabama. Marquez White, three-star cornerback and Florida State commitment from Northview High School in Dothan, will also take an official visit to Alabama.

Jonathan Cook, three-star cornerback and Nebraska commitment from Spanish Fort High School, and Johnathan Ford, three-star running back and Vanderbilt commitment from New Hope High School, are both receiving interest from the Tide.

Cook has attended Alabama's last two home games and hoping for an offer from the defending national champions. The Tide coaching staff is showing interest in Johnathan Ford who plans to attend Alabama's next home game against Mississippi State.
