2013 Hot Board: NSD Edition

National Signing Day is right around the corner, and PowerMizzou.com is taking one last look at the remaining targets on Missouri's board and predicting how the Tigers will fare. After losing Donovahn Jones to Minnesota, the Tigers now need a strong finish to reach 20 commits and move up the Rivals Team Rankings.

NSD Hot Board

Ezekiel Elliott - RB, 6-0, 200 - St. Louis, Mo.

A month ago, who would have seen this coming? The four-star top-100 player has been committed to Ohio State since April, and has been all-Buckeyes since. Missouri managed to score a late visit two weekends before Signing Day, and Elliott hasn't publicly addressed his commitment since. Not that he has to, of course -- if he doesn't de-commit, he's still an Ohio State commitment. All this week, however, Elliott and his family have drummed up interest in a "Signing Day Decision" between Ohio State and Missouri, his parents' alma mater Is this for show or is something more there? A Youtube video posted by his father on Tuesday night seemed to set the stage even more for a Wednesday decision, but most sources around John Burroughs and Ohio State already say he's re-affirmed to Urban Meyer. With such an odd turn for a mainly quiet recruitment, however, nothing should surprise anyone.
CONTENDERS: Ohio State, Missouri

Duron Singleton - S, 6-1, 210 - Fresno, Cali. (JUCO)

In January, Singleton emerged as a popular recruit and quickly became Missouri's top target at safety. He visited on Jan. 18, and followed that up with a visit to Syracuse. He's maintained that Missouri is his front runner, however, and likely nothing will change before his announcement at 10 AM PST Wednesday.
CONTENDERS: Missouri, Syracuse
MIZZOU'S CHANCES: 99%

Joshua Outlaw - OL, 6-4, 290 - Lithonia, Ga.

Outlaw was a late addition to Missouri's recruiting board, and it get be assumed that his inclusion was a direct result of Eddie Printz, who played against Outlaw in Georgia. The two were also teammates during the Semper Fi All-American Bowl in early January. Outlaw visited TCU, Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas Tech during the final three weeks before Signing Day, and those schools make up his final list. Missouri and Oklahoma are rumored to be the front runners..
CONTENDERS: Oklahoma, Missouri, TCU, Texas Tech
MIZZOU'S CHANCES: 55%

Travis Johnson - TE, 6-3, 230 -Tampa, Fla.

Johnson decommitted from Miami late, and visited Missouri on Jan. 18. Since his visit, however, there hasn't been much information on where he stands with the Tigers, and it's unclear if Missouri is still recruiting him. He'll announce his decision on Tuesday night, with South Florida, Missouri and Cincinnati as his finalists..
CONTENDERS: South Florida, Missouri, Cincinnati
MIZZOU'S CHANCES: 25%
