STAY IN IT TO START: This is the biggest non-conference home game the Hoosiers have had in a while. Indiana feels like it's on the verge of turning the corner and the fans should be into it. It's only about a 50-thousand seat stadium, but if the place is electric, it can help the home team. Missouri doesn't need to jump out 17-0 or anything...but the Tigers need to make sure not to fall behind by a similar margin.
LIMIT THE BIG PLAYS: Nate Sudfeld is averaging 10.8 yards per attempt. Seven Indiana receivers have catches of more than 20 yards. Indiana is going to score some points, but the Tigers need to make sure they have to work for them. Big plays could turn this one into a Big Ten nightmare for the Tigers. Limit the bombs and the Tigers should be okay.
RELY ON THE RUN: Yes, Missouri can throw it. But I see no need to get into a shootout with a team that you know really wants a shootout. The game's going to be high-scoring, but I'd like to see the Tigers use the ground game. Missouri has four players averaging better than 50 yards a game. Use them all. Grind it out and wear the Hoosiers down. If Mizzou can get to 200 rushing yards, I think they win.
PREDICTION TIME: Sometimes, I'm right in line with what everybody's thinking. And then other times, I'm out there feeling like I am alone on an island. This is an island week. Everybody seems to think this one is going to come down to the final minutes. I don't. I'm either going to look like a genius or an idiot. Prediction: Missouri 44, Indiana 31
