HIT 'EM DEEP: Kentucky's defense isn't great and it doesn't take the ball away in the passing game. The Cats have one interception all season and it came from a linebacker. Maty Mauk likes to throw the deep ball and the Tigers should have some chances to hurt UK up top in this game.
AND OPEN UP THE RUN: If Mauk can connect on a deep ball or two, the running lanes will be wide open (they might be anyway). Mizzou's 339 yards against Tennessee were its most on the ground against a BCS opponent in a decade...and all three backs enter this game healthy.
SURVIVE AND ADVANCE: A win in this one means Missouri is one step closer to Atlanta. Beating Kentucky would give the Tigers a 5-1 record against Eastern Division teams, meaning they would win any three-way tiebreaker. Saturday's game is important. The Tigers are heavy favorites and should be. Get a win, move on and get healthy.
PREDICTION TIME: Kentucky has been in a lot of games. But they haven't finished many off. With a bye waiting, there shouldn't be any danger of a look-ahead and Mizzou hasn't been prone to that yet this year anyway. I see a game that Missouri takes charge early and controls throughout. Missouri 41, Kentucky 17
