At 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Aldon Smith was easy to pick out at Missouri's recent one-day camp in Kansas City. He was easily the most impressive physical specimen in attendance.

"I want to get a little bigger, get stronger," Smith said. "On the offensive side, I want to work on catching the ball a little better."
Though he is a talented tight end (18 catches, 235 yards last season), it is on defense where Smith's future likely lies. He had 12 tackles for a loss last season and is a prototypical defensive end.
"Some of the coaches like tight end too," Smith said. "But I like defense."
Thus far, Mizzou, Kansas State and Nebraska have stepped forward with early offers.
"I've been to Kansas State and Missouri, but I haven't visited Nebraska yet," Smith said. "I liked Missouri a lot, liked Kansas State a lot. It was all real nice."
In addition to those schools, Smith lists Iowa, Iowa State and Oklahoma as programs showing some interest.
"I'm just actually taking my time," he said. "I'm not going to make a decision until either right before my football season or after my football season."
Smith will have plenty of coaches waiting on the word.
