The biggest hole in Missouri's 2018 recruiting class was at quarterback. The Tigers filled that hole this weekend. East Mississippi CC quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. committed to Mizzou during his official visit this weekend.

Scott chose the Tigers over Tulane, Kansas and Oregon State. He plans to enroll immediately and begin classes in Columbia.

Scott began his career at LSU, where he redshirted in 2016. He arrived in Baton Rouge as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Louisiana and a top 50 prospect in the state. In his lone season at East Mississippi, Scott completed 64.8% of his passes for 3,481 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also ran for 729 yards and six scores and led EMCC to its fourth national title in ten years.

Scott has three years left to play three. He will compete for the backup job behind Drew Lock beginning with spring football in March.
