Back to the Big XII

After months of speculation and perhaps the wildest week in the history of college sports, the Big XII Conference will live on.
The University of Oklahoma has released a statement saying it will stay in the Big XII. Texas is expected to confirm the same tomorrow morning and multiple reports indicate the league will live on.

This ends a week in which virtually every team in the league was courted by another conference and multiple teams were on the verge of departing.
"We're excited about the Big 12 Conference and for its continued growth," said athletic director Mike Alden in a statement. "The University of Missouri has certainly prospered during its time in the Big 12, and we are looking forward to future opportunities in the years ahead."
Colorado is gone, to the PAC-10, while Nebraska landed in the Big Ten. But the rest of the league remains and will stay together based on the strength of a new television contract that should be announced in the coming days.
