Beard talks second visit to Mizzou
When 2014 four star PG Anton Beard committed to Mizzou June 8th it came as somewhat of a surprise. Beard had visited Mizzou with his AAU teammates and coach, but at the time it did not appear that a commitment from any of the four players was immanent. Beard pulled the trigger anyway.

When he committed Beard told PowerMizzou.com that he would visit Columbia again soon, but at the time he was not sure when that visit would be. This past weekend Beard made that visit and all it did was reaffirm his commitment.
"It was great. I got to spend more time with the coaches and players so it was a really good time," said Beard. "They just explained to me what my job would be and everything. They also talked about how everything would go as a basketball player at Mizzou and what goals they have set for me right now."
The highlight of the trip for Beard was getting to spend more time exploring the Mizzou campus. His first trip was a quick one so the coaches made sure to give Beard the full tour.
"The best part of the visit was seeing the campus. It's a great place to be. The coaches showed me around everywhere and it is a great campus," Beard said. "The academics are good and all the people I met were really nice. The coaches also showed me around the gym and all the basketball facilities. Mizzou is just a great school to be at. It's definitely where I want to be."
Beard also got to be around his future teammates.
"I got to spend some time with the players and get to know them more this trip," said Beard. "Some of them might be there when I get there and some of them might leave, but it was nice getting to spend time with all of them."
When Beard committed to Mizzou he was attending the CP3 Camp in North Carolina. 2013 Tiger commit Zach Coleman was also at that camp and the two of them instantly hit it off.
"It was great to see another Missouri commit," Beard said. "We didn't know each other until we realized we were both committed to Mizzou. He is a nice dude and he can play really well. I think we can make things happen at Mizzou. We'll definitely keep in touch."
Beard will finish up the summer playing AAU with Team Thad in Indianapolis, California, and Las Vegas.
