Carraway talks about being a Tiger

The most recent addition to Missouri's 2006 class is College of the Siskiyous defensive back James Carraway. PowerMizzou.com broke the news that Carraway had committed to the Tigers earlier in the week. On Wednesday night, we were able to catch up with Carraway himself.
"I had heard good things about Missouri and I liked the way they recruited me," Carraway said. "Some of the other schools kind of waited around and they stepped up and showed they wanted me."

Carraway also has a close friend pulling him to Columbia.
"I have been friends with Domonique Johnson since me and him were born, since we were just little kids," Carraway said of his former Texas City High teammate. "He told me it's a good place to go and they really look out for you."
Carraway will now turn his attention to filling his obligations so he can get to Missouri as soon as possible.
"I want to get out of here and get to Missouri," said the 6-foot, 190-pound Carraway. "I am trying to go to summer school in July and take half the units that I need. Then I could take the other half during the school year and leave in December."
Carraway did not redshirt at the College of the Siskiyous, so he would come to Missouri with three seasons to play two. As far as his game, Carraway was blunt.
"My strengths as a defensive player are hitting and covering," he said.
PowerMizzou.com will keep in touch with Carraway throughout his sophomore season in junior college.
