Commitment confusion

This past weekend Richmond (TX) George Ranch running back Darius Anderson visited the University of Missouri with his father. The two came away from the visit very impressed and after some time to think over the recruiting process as a family the three-star running back committed to Mizzou.
UPDATE: Anderson told PowerMizzou.com that he has not committed to Missouri. We will continue to monitor this situation, but are leaving his father's comments in this story.

"The visit was great," Quincy Anderson said. "I have a coworker that is originally from Columbia so that helped us do a lot of research before we made the trip. We feel like that Missouri is a great fit for Darius to continue on with his development on and off the field. Playing in the SEC was a big draw for Darius. He has always wanted that opportunity and now he has it."
Anderson is thirteenth known commitment for Mizzou in the class of 2016. He is the second running back joining Natereace Strong.
Texas recruiting analyst Jason Howell has had an opportunity to see Anderson in action multiple times and believes the 5-foot-9, 180 prospect will thrive in Josh Henson's offense.
"Anderson is a versatile threat with the ball in his hands. He is shifty and he is quick and he has breakaway speed. Get him in space and he is a dangerous weapon. Give him a crease and he is capable of taking it the distance. In Mizzou's offense he should fit in well," Howell explained.
PowerMizzou hopes to speak with Anderson tonight to get his take on becoming a Missouri Tiger.
