Fall camp preview: Special Teams

Over the last couple of weeks, PowerMizzou.com has broken down the Tiger roster at every position. We have outlined the likely starters headed into fall camp, highlighted a few backups who could challenge for a job, and set the scene with the major camp storylines at each spot. Today, we wrap up our special ten-part free series with a look at the Missouri special teams.
The Starters: Grant Ressel will kick and Beau Brinkley will snap. Forrest Shock is the holder. This much we know. Matt Grabner enters fall camp as the starting punter. As for the return men, we can't even hazard a guess right now.

The Backups: Who knows? Honestly, if things go as planned, the coaching staff will end the season never having to see the backups here.
The Top Story: First of all, is Grabner ready to be the starter? That may be tough to judge because we came out of fall camp last year wondering if Jake Harry was ready and if Missouri would ever attempt a field goal beyond 30 yards. Harry was good and Ressel was great. But the more intriguing storyline is who returns kickoffs and punts? Carl Gettis was surehanded and solid on punt returns last year, but the Tigers struggled all season on kickoffs. Jasper Simmons, Kendial Lawrence, De'Vion Moore, Munir Prince and T.J. Moe are all possibilities. But don't rule out a true freshman pitching in here either as Missouri searches for someone to finally step into the monstrous hole Jeremy Maclin left on kick returns.
