Throughout camp, we'll talk to as many of Missouri's new players as we can. Today, it's running back Anthony Watkins.

How has the adjustment gone?

"Everything’s been fine. Still trying to learn the plays, I’ve been here for a little bit. I don’t go out too much, But everything with the new facility and going out on the field, that’s the only thing I know. But school comes before any type of play."

What’s a bigger adjustment? Football or being on your own in a new town?

"The college experience. You’re not under your mother or your father’s roof no more. So I mean just being out on your own and trying to be that young adult that your parents raised you to be."

Who have been the guys on the team that you’ve leaned on?

"Pretty much everybody, but of course Larry Rountree. That’s my big brother right there. And Tyler (Badie)."

Those guys had a similar path to you. I’m going to ask this the most basic way I can. Why didn’t more people recruit you with the numbers you put up?

"Oh, man, I can’t speak on that. People have their ways and who they want to play and who think they’ll be the best fit."

Larry said that still puts a chip on his shoulder. Is that something you’ll remember to motivate you?

"Yes sir. Yes sir I will."

Tell me about yourself as a back. What makes you stand out?

"Probably the way I run. The way I run and I mean my vision is very very nice. I can see things before they even happen."

I know it’s early but have you set any goals as far as playing time?

"My first goal is to memorize all these plays. My second goal is to continue to work to try to go up on the depth chart. My third goal is to play actually on the field and know what I’m doing."
