For the second time in roughly six weeks, 2018 five-star recruit Carte’Are Gordon made the two-hour trip from his home in St. Louis to Columbia for an unofficial visit to Missouri.
The no. 16 ranked prospect in the Rivals150 had taken an unofficial visit to campus in early August and came this past weekend with fellow top-ranked recruit Torrence Watson to take in the Tigers’ football game against Georgia.
“It was good,” he told PowerMizzou.com. “It was a great experience to see everything and come back down. I’ve been down there a few times.”
Gordon said the visit didn’t show him anything he hadn’t seen before, but it gave him a better feel for the campus. The 6-foot-8 power forward has been to campus now three times in the past 12 months and knows what he’s getting with the program.
“I’ve been talking to coach Kim Anderson and (assistant) coach Rob (Fulford) for a while,” he said. “They’re trying to rebuild and they think I can be a key part of that. I’m anxious to see what this year brings.”
