Hansford details his commitment

Last night, I talked to Mary Persons (Ga.) outside linebacker Jatorian Hansford about his official visit to Missouri this past weekend.

Today, the 3-star prospect announced his commitment via Twitter.

Hansford gave PowerMizzou.com the details on how his commitment went down.

"I committed on my visit," he admitted. "Coach (Barry) Odom sat down and talked with me and my parents. I was already liking Missouri. I was having a lot of fun on my visit with the coaches and the players. I just decided to go ahead and commit then."

Odom's reaction was what you would expect after landing one of their top targets.

"He was pumped. He kind of jumped out of his seat and gave me a hug and showed a lot of love."

Despite Hansford's commitment, he's still on the fence about signing early this week.

"I really don't know when I'm going to sign. I might sign early but I can't really say that for sure right now."

The Tigers have been on the Georgia product's mind a lot ever since they extended an offer.

"To be honest, I really wanted to commit before my visit. But, I wanted to get up there and make sure and the people were really great and I really liked it."
