Jarvis Ware goes in-depth on his commitment to Mizzou

Missouri's latest commitment came from the Sunshine State in Wekiva (Fla.) cornerback Jarvis Ware, who announced his decision via Twitter on Sunday evening.

"I feel like it is a great fit for me and my playing style," Ware told PowerMizzou.com of his decision. "I love the coaching staff. I feel like we'll really be close and I'll also have a high percentage chance of playing as a true freshman."

"I've been hearing from them for about a month. I've been talking to coach (Kenronte) Walker. He's a cool, chill guy."

Ware was already familiar with the Mizzou program due to a family connection.

"I knew a little bit about them because I had a cousin (Marquis Gibson) that played at Missouri."

The Florida product recapped recapped the moment he told the coaches of his decision.

"I texted Coach Walker and told him I was going to commit, then I called him and we talked for a little bit and I just got off the phone with Coach (Ryan) Walters."

"They were excited and said they really need me."

Missouri sees the 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect as either a cornerback or safety at the next level.

One thing is for sure, Ware has a lot of versatility to his overall game.

"I can play everything, all 11 positions on the field. I'm a return specialist, cornerback, safety, nickel. I can cover and I'm also a hard-hitter."

Ware has his official visit to Missouri set for the weekend of December 1st. I asked him what he wants to see the most when he visits Columbia.

"I want to check out the football facilities, take a tour around the school and see campus and what the professors are like."

USF, UCF, FAU, UMass, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Minnesota, Tulane, Oregon, and Tennessee were the programs that have either offered or were showing interest in Ware throughout his recruiting process.
