The pledge of three-star athlete Dakotah Terrell on Monday put Missouri at 17 total commits for the Class of 2025. Terrell -- listed as the lone athlete in the class -- is expected to play tight end for the Tigers, although he is currently playing wide receiver and defensive end at Pocola (Okla.).
Ranking
Terrell came onto the scene later in his recruitment, seeing an uptick in offers this past spring. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound athlete isn't ranked nationally, in Oklahoma or at his position, but he is rated a 5.6 (three-star) prospect by Rivals.com.
Offers
Of his 10 offers, Terrell holds eight from Power Four programs. Along with the Tigers, five other SEC schools -- Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas A&M -- extended offers to Terrell in the past seven months, while Michigan and Oklahoma State were also in the fold.
Notable Visits
Terrell visited Missouri on Sept. 7 for the Buffalo game. He got on campus early this season in Week 2 and hasn't visited another school since. The Oklahoma product made one other unofficial visit this season to Baylor on Aug. 31.
Season Stats
In three games this season, Terrell has reeled in 18 passes for three touchdowns and 299 yards, with an 80-yard reception being his longest thus far, according to MaxPreps. In his junior campaign, he recorded a career-high 549 yards on 29 receptions in 11 contests.
As a defensive end in 2023, Terrell compiled 37 total tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Analyst Breakdown
"Terrell is an obviously intriguing prospect, measuring in at 6-foot-8, 210 pounds," national recruiting analyst Marshall Levenson said about the two-sport athlete. "At that size, tight end, is really one of the only positions available to play. He has also experience at defensive end though."
