Mizzou added some depth to its special teams unit with the commitment of Murray State transfer punter Orion Phillips, who announced his plans on Saturday.
"Missouri really fits the scheme and style and attitude of a program I wanted to be a part of," Phillips told PowerMizzou.com after announcing his commitment. "I was set on Mizzou."
I am so excited to announce I will be continuing out my college career at the university of Missouri, I would like to thank @CoachErikLink and @CoachDrinkwitz for this opportunity and I cannot wait to get to work. @MizzouFootball

Phillips, who had 52 punts and averaged 43.5 yards per punt, was an All-Ohio Valley Conference honorable mention selection and a semifinalist for FCS Punter of the Year in his freshman season with the Racers.
Like current Mizzou punter, Riley Williams, Phillips trained with ProKick Australia.
In addition to Williams, the team still has Luke Bauer, a walk-on who started in eight games.
Williams averaged 40 yards per punt on to 20 punts in his first season in Columbia after transferring from Towson at the end of last season.
Bauer averaged 42.1 yards per punt on 22 punts.
Phillips becomes the sixth transfer addition for the Tigers, joining Clemson cornerback Toriano Pride Jr., Georgia State running back Marcus Carroll, Oklahoma offensive lineman Cayden Green, Georgia linebacker Darris Smith and Miami (FL) linebacker Corey Flagg Jr.
