Newcomers are back on the menu for the media contingent covering the 2017 Mizzou pre-season camp so we're bringing back a classic feature. PowerMizzou.com subscribers get excited for the Newcomer Q&A. A few standard questions with each new player and then one flavor of the moment quick hitter. Up today is freshman safety Jordan Ulmer.

Question: How did your summer on campus go and how has camp gone so far?

Ulmer: "So far it's been going great."

Q: What has been the biggest adjustment from high school to Mizzou?

JU: "I'd say the speed. Everything's been faster, way faster than what it was in high school. Also the size. I've got to get bigger."

Q: Who has been your big brother at Mizzou?

JU: "I'd say Thomas Wilson. He's been helping on the playbook and the board a lot and getting adjusted on the field."

Q: What are your goals for your first season as a Tiger?

JU: "I want to be a true this year. I want to play. I'm trying to work my way in and help out the team the best I can."

Q: What player, past or present, do you model your game after?

JU: "Not really. I want to be like Kam Chancellor."

Q: What off the field activity do you enjoy that the average fan wouldn't know about (so not video games, music, movies or eating)?

JU: "Off the football field, I either hoop and I like to also play paintball."

Q: Were you a pretty good basketball player in high school?

JU: "Yeah, I was pretty good."

Q: Is that something you ever thought about doing in college?

JU: "I thought about it, but I was like I'm going to stick with football."

Q: If you're not playing in the NFL in five to ten years what would you be doing with your life?

JU: "Probably coaching and helping out the kids back home."
