Ray-Pec duo visits Missouri

Of all the prospects at Missouri's junior day on Saturday, few could have been as familiar with the Tiger program as Ray-Pec linebacker Andrew Wilson. Wilson's dad played for the Tigers.

"I've been going down there my whole life," said the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Wilson. "I've been to a couple of their games as a recruit and I've pretty much seen everything…As always, the facilities are real nice and it's just an impressive place."
At this point in time, Wilson said he is "pretty much just open to anybody."
"I went to Iowa's junior day a couple weeks ago," he reported. "I'm hearing from Wisconsin and I might go up there in the spring. I'm going to junior day at Northwestern on the 23rd and Kansas on the 16th of February."
Wilson had some company on the trip. Ray-Pec receiver Gavin Lutman was in attendance as well.
"It was great," said the 6-foot-4 wideout. "Probably the facilities caught my eye the most. Everything is just brand new down there."
Lutman also attended Iowa's junior day and will go to Kansas and Northwestern as well.
"Both of them are real nice places," Lutman said in comparing his two visits so far. "Missouri is a lot newer, but Iowa was really exciting to me too."
Both players are among the best at their positions in the Show-Me State's Class of 2009 and both gave a self critique of their games.
"I really haven't had many conversations about my game and how coaches watched and what they've seen," Lutman said. "I think I get the jump ball well, run good routes, get separation from the defense."
"I'm a sure tackler and I'm hard hitting," Wilson said. "I can run sideline to sideline."
