The 6-foot-7 offensive lineman was at Kansas' season opening win over Northwestern State. He traveled to Columbia to watch the Missouri Tigers take on Ole Miss, and he will go to Manhattan this weekend to see K-State and Marshall.
"You know, it went really great," Roepke said after his visit to Mizzou. "The coaches were awesome, Missouri won and it went really good. The facilities are amazing. Earlier during the summer I was talking to coach Andy Hill and coach David Yost and they were talking about what they do academically, they have every freshman have a tutor and that was great."
Roepke said the Tigers are "definitely one of the top options." In addition to Kansas and Kansas State, he is also hearing from Colorado State and Texas Tech.
"They told me they still want some game film and I need to get them this week's game," Roepke said. "Right now my options are 100% open."
Roepke will be able to send coaches film from a couple of different positions.
"During practice, I just got moved to tight end," he said. "I've been a lineman since the beginning of time. It's different, but the coach thinks it will help the team and that's what I'm all about."
