Missouri landed its first major quarterback commitment in early January when three-year starter Drew Lock announced he was returning for his senior season. On Monday, the Tigers secured a potential heir apparent for when Lock leaves.

East Mississippi CC signal caller Lindsey Scott Jr. committed on Monday following an unofficial visit over the weekend.

"Going through the recruiting process a second time, you’ve kind of seen all the bells and whistles," Scott said. "Just wanted to build a great relationship with the coaches and talk about offensive schemes.

"I enjoyed the visit and saw the program as a place I could succeed."
