"Yeah, that happened," Resonno said. "I talked to them probably middle of the afternoon on Saturday. They were just excited for me to be a Tiger."
It was a long weekend for the Jeff City prospect. The Jays played in Springdale, ARK on Friday night, losing 24-21 to the perennial Natural State powerhouse.
"We couldn't stop their pass and they got a couple of scores in the first quarter," Resonno said. "We didn't get back till around three or four o'clock in the morning on Saturday."
The night game was good scheduling for Resonno, who was able to get a little rest before heading to Columbia for the 6:00 kickoff.
"It was real cool," Resonno said of the Tigers' season-opening 47-7 win over Murray State. "I liked everything a lot."
The 250-pound defensive end said Arizona State, Kansas and Kansas State have all been recruiting him heavily of late, but that he expected things to slow down since he had made his commitment official.
"I feel real good right now," Resonno said. "I am proud to be a Tiger. I'm just happy about it."
