Texas crop is Tigers best yet

Year by year, Missouri has made deeper inroads to the state of Texas. In 2010, those connections have led to the Tigers' most impressive haul of recruits from the Lone Star State. Rivals.com has released its final Texas top 100 and future Tigers dot the list.
Leading the way is Lake Dallas quarterback James Franklin, who is already enrolled at Mizzou for the spring semester. Franklin, who accounted for better than 3,300 total yards and 38 touchdowns as a senior, checks in at No. 20 on the list. He is the highest rated recruit Gary Pinkel and staff have landed from Texas.

The next two future Tigers on the list were two of the nation's fastest-rising prospects over the last few months. Gilmer athlete Tristan Holt cracked the top 50 at No. 49 and Angleton tailback Henry Josey checks in two spots later at No. 51.
DeSoto running back Marcus Murphy was No. 55 and Denton receiver Bud Sasser No. 71, rounding out the five Tiger commitments on the list. Only Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State landed more players from the Texas top 100.
