Tiger targets throughout Rivals250

The Rivals.com national analyst team has spent all spring evaluating players at combines, camps and spring practices. Their efforts have yielded the most recent edition of the Rivals250 and on it are several Missouri targets with varying degrees of interest in the Tigers. Also, two new Show Me State prospects made the list.
Of the in-state prospects, Mizzou fans should be the most interested in number 143 ranked A.J. Taylor. He has Mizzou in his group of top schools with Wisconsin, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska and Kansas. He will be announcing his college decision on August 1st and at this time Mizzou appears to be in good shape with the talented four-star athlete.

The two new Missouri prospects in the Rivals250 are Kansas State quarterback commit Skylar Thompson who comes in at 199 and Northwestern cornerback commit Roderick Campbell who comes in at 239. Neither player has an offer from Mizzou, but that could change for Campbell. The big question the Tiger coaches had on him was his speed and he ran a 4.46 forty at the Nike Regional Opening in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend. Even if Missouri does offer there is a chance it is too late.
Other prospects that Mizzou is in decent to good shape with that made the Rivals250 are Michael Divinity at 90, Kristian Fulton at 106, Ron Johnson at 109, Boss Tagaloa at 113, Amani Bledsoe at 131, Xavier Kelly at 150, Marvin Terry at 173, and Brad Hawkins at 206.
Missouri seems to be in a little better shape with, for instance, Fulton then maybe Terry, but overall the Tigers are still squarely in the picture with each of the previously mentioned prospects.
Next are the players that Mizzou seems to be a long shot to land a commitment from. That includes number 13 Ben Davis, number 19 Caleb Kelly, number 37 Mecole Hardman, number 40 Nigel Warrior, number 53 Deontay Anderson, number 67 Willie Allen, number 78 Rashard Lawrence, number 79 Donnie Corley, number 92 McTelvin Agim, number 162 Isaiah Chambers, number 167 Lavert Hill, and number 205 Tre Nixon.
There are a few other Rivals250 members that have Mizzou offers, but we are classifying them as prospects that the Tigers have no shot with. Offers are also continuing to go out so new targets could emerge.
Several of the prospects mentioned previously will also be at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge which is this week. PowerMizzou.com will be in Baltimore and will be checking in with Corley, Davis, Divinity, Hardman, Hill, Johnson, C. Kelly, X. Kelly, Lawrence and Warrior.
We will also check in with highly rated 2017 prospects Markail Benton, Sean Clifford, Wyatt Davis, DeAngelo Gibbs, Jeffrey Okudah, Isaiah Pryor and Marvin Wilson. There will also be one 2018 prospect in attendance that already holds a Mizzou offer and that is quarterback Joey Gatewood.
Check back all this week for coverage from Baltimore.
