Tigers land immediate help

Fall camp is already underway, but Missouri's roster is still taking shape. College of San Mateo defensive back Anthony Hines confirmed to PowerMizzou.com via text message on Monday evening that he has committed to the Tigers. Hines graduated from El Camino High School in South San Francisco, CA in 2013. He said that he will enroll at Mizzou for the 2015 school year.
Hines chose Missouri over Indiana. He is currently in the midst of his official visit to Columbia. He will be in town until early on Tuesday.

"I chose Mizzou because of how they embraced me into the visit and the whole recruiting process," said the 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback. "Not only is it one of the top football schools, but a great academic school too."
As a freshman at San Mateo, Hines made 22.5 tackles in 11 games, but his value showed as a cover corner. Hines broke up eight passes and was credited with defending 11 more. He had three interceptions and two fumble recoveries on the season as well as two blocked kicks.
Hines also ran track and played basketball in high school, but was not heavily recruited. He has grown two inches and added 20 pounds since leaving high school and attracted Missouri's attention months ago. PowerMizzou.com will get more information on Hines in the coming days.
