Da'Ron Davis set to join Tigers soon

Barry Odom got some good news and it couldn't have come at a better time. In the midst of a very tough start to the 2017 season Odom's top rated signee from the 2017 class is now academically eligible.

Da'Ron Davis will be a Tiger by January at the latest.

Rumors that Davis was heading to junior college swirled around for a while, but that will not be the case. Instead the four-star wide receiver from Kansas City focused on improving his test score and now is trying to figure out how quickly he can get to Columbia.

"This means a lot. Just to see the smiles on the faces of all my family was a blessing. There were times I didn't know if I'd make it to Mizzou, so to get this done takes a big weight of all of our shoulders," explained the 2016 Rivals Five-Star participant.

Davis and his father will be in Columbia this weekend to see Mizzou take on Auburn and catch up with his future teammates.

PowerMizzou.com will have more on Davis and what his addition means for the Tigers in the coming days.
