Wainright reconsidering his options

It looks like the early recruiting momentum of Frank Haith and staff has taken a hit, at least temporarily. Reports surfaced late Thursday night that 2013 Raytown South prospect Ishmail Wainright had decommitted from Missouri.
Wainright confirmed the reports were true in a text message to PowerMizzou.com. A few minutes later, Wainright tweeted "#MU still on the top of my list. Just want to go through the recruiting process."

Wainright is now listing West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, St. John's, UCLA, Arkansas, Baylor, UMKC, Memphis, Kentucky "and a few more," according to the report.
He explained the decision in a follow-up text message: "It's a once in a lifetime thing getting recruited. And I want to go through the process. I want to go out and visit."
Wainright, a four-star prospect rated No. 40 in the Class of 2013, committed to Mizzou on May 8th, prior to the end of his sophomore year.
"I love it up there," Wainright said after committing following an unofficial visit. "It's my home town school."
And, despite the decommitment, Wainright said little has changed.
"I still feel the same about them," he said. "I'm comfortable there. I built a great relationship with the guys and the coaching staff."
PowerMizzou.com will continue to follow Wainright's recruitment.
